Wicked weather

Okay, just a couple of days ago, this past weekend, we had hot 93 degree days. The following day, yesterday we dropped to the 50’s. And last night we hit a low of 28 degrees. Today, as I write this it’s Tuesday. By Friday we are expected to be back into the 90’s.

But wait, there’s more! Southern California has heat, think 99 degrees hot on Thursday. I don’t know what the high was today, but I gather it was in the 90’s.

AND… areas of the north like International Falls MN are 17, Detroit MI is 27, New York NY is 42. We are having some rather wild weather. The east coast has been hammered by cold and snow, and right now the south like Atlanta GA is under freeze warnings.

As for my back yard I planted pea seeds, they are coming up. My tomato seeds have sprouted. My bell pepper seeds have sprouted, and even my radish seeds have come up. My grape vines are growing, and my lemon tree has flowers. Surprisingly the cold from last night didn’t do much damage. I lost one branch from the grape vine but it looks more like squirrel damage. I might lose a couple of leaves from the grapes and the lemon tree, but it looks like that should be all. So overall, I think we’ll survive this cold spell.
